Delighted to announce that our newly-completed short film THE BETRAYAL will have its world premiere at the 24th GAZE International LGBT Film Festival in Dublin.
Since 1992, GAZE has become Ireland’s largest LGBT film event, and the country’s biggest LGBT gathering outside of Dublin Pride. I can’t imagine a more perfect audience for my 2nd film which focuses, among other things, on sexual identity and LGBT matters. It’s also such a privilege to be screened in a program which includes Paddy Breathnach’s VIVA and Edmund Lynch’s A DIFFERENT COUNTRY.
THE BETRAYAL is a 26-min drama which I co-directed with Natasha Waugh earlier this year. It was shot by Malgorzata “Gosia” Zur, and co-produced by Michael O’Dwyer (Driftwood Doll Films) and Eilis Abbott, with the Executive Producers team including William R. Carter (UK), Glen Shire, Charlo Johnson, Aidan Whelan (Ireland) and Florencia Iriondo (NYC).
The film features Miriam Devitt, myself and Mark McAuley in leading roles. We’re particularly proud of the soundtrack which includes tracks by Conor Walsh, Ryan Vail, OCHO and Andy Gillion, with our biggest soundtrack name to be announced shortly.
Watch out for THE BETRAYAL in the Irish Shorts programme on Sunday 31st July, at 6.30pm in The Light House Cinema! Click here for tickets.
